Custom Research Database for Quant Trading team

For this client we served in an all emcompassing role involving the development of a Research database for a Quant trading team. The database is used to feed a quantatative trading  model with the data required. SSTS was involved in all aspects of the database. This included the installation of the database, backup and recovery (with RMAN), database design, security, feed development, and user interface development (using Oracle APEX) for data maintetance and reporting. The database is approaching a TB in size and is fed daily from a long list  vendor sources. The database backup implementation that has been put in place is extensive to protext the large investment that has been made. Backups are synchronized  hourly to remote netwrok drives and multiple backup types have been put in place to ensure recovery.
