This client wanted to solidify their backup implementation. Before they were using a schedule Oracle export to backup their data on a daily basis. However, exports are only a snapshot of the data and cannot support an intra-day restore to a point in time. The client wanted to implement RMAN but lacked the skills in house to do so. We scoped the project and submitted a fixed bid for the work which included the implementation, documentation, and training for staff to support things moving forward.
