We are working with this client to support their Oracle databases and monitor prime broker uploads into the databases. This client has no internal Oracle DBA's and relies on us to manage and monitor their Oracle databases. The databases are 11G running on Windows and we apply the CPU's every 3 months to keep them up to date. We have also put in a poor mans database mirror mechanism where we automatically dump the production database and subsequetely load into a warm standby system. We are using Oracle Enterprise Manager to monitor the system and to invoke the RMAN backups. Backup files are being synchronized to a network drive for safe keeping.
